Installing the Hourly power-up makes it easy to track time spent on each task, and faster for your team to manage their admin responsibilities. You can start an Hourly timer in any Trello card, see how much time has already been recorded on that card, and which of your teammates have also recorded time there. All time tracked in Trello appears in Hourly with the corresponding task ID and a link back to the card where the time was tracked.
Once you’ve added the Hourly time tracking power-up, you’ll be able to track time with a single click.
The Hourly time tracking power-ups can remember what project you’re working on and defaults the task description to the Trello card you’re working on.
All the time in Trello that you've already recorded is visible on the card, keeping you across the work you've already done. You can also see your total hours for the current day while you work.
As time is logged in Trello, everything seamlessly and securely syncs back to Hourly for invoicing or custom reports. Time entries with associated Trello cards are shown on time pages with Trello icons and Trello card IDs. You can click on these to open the Trello card in a new browsers tab.
Trello is a project management program that operates on a system of boards, lists, and cards, with each Trello board representing a project or a major task. On each board, lists are used to categorise and organise tasks or stages of a project. Cards, which are placed within lists, represent individual tasks or items to be completed. This hierarchical structure is intuitive and helps users visualise their work and manage projects across different team members and other stakeholders.
With Hourly, you can generate time reports using the data recorded in Trello. Create reports grouped across team members, clients, and projects to see how your organisation actually spends its time. With a Trello card ID attached to each corresponding time entry, you'll be able to see which projects are moving through the pipeline as expected, and which are taking longer than first thought.
When you track work hours in Trello with the Hourly power-up, you link your workflow directly to your billing process, saving time by avoiding double entries and data transfer. In one click, Hourly can generate invoices that reflect the exact work you've completed in Trello, down to the minute. This end-to-end solution is perfect for businesses looking to create an accurate and seamless invoicing experience.
